Policyholders
A policyholder is an individual who is associated with and covered by an insurance policy.
Policy Number
This is a unique number that identifies a specific insurance policy.
Policy
The insurance policy itself. This is the contract between the insurer and the policyholder.
Quote
A quote is a cost estimate for the insurance requested by the policyholder.
Channel
Claims
This is a request from the policyholder to receive compensation based on the terms that were agreed in the insurance policy.
Field
These are fields to be filled out by the policyholder such as their name, address, and contact information.
Field Groups
Fields that contain related information can be categorized into groups. For example, a person's name, address, and contact information might get put into one field group.
If the individual required auto insurance, there would be a different field group that contained fields for the make, model, and age of their car.
Rules
Perils
The types of incidents that are covered in an insurance policy. For example, if you were going on a ski trip and required travel insurance, you should make sure one of the perils included in the policy is skiing accidents.
